What products are compatible with this battery?
GUT112*, GUT140, GUT150, GUT158, GUT161, GUT164, GUT165, GUT166, GUO057, GUO095 - May not fit some older GUT112 models. Is not compatible with our 48V Capstan Winch (GUO076).
Is the 48V 4Ah Lithium Ion Battery impact-resistant?
Yes, it has an impact-resistant insulating case, ensuring long life and protection in adverse climates.
How does the battery indicate its charge level?
Features a charge indicator button/light with RED for charging and GREEN for charge complete.
I ordered the winch. I thought I would get an extra battery. I ordered a 4Ah battery, not knowing that it will not fit on the winch. Only the 2Ah batteries fit the winch. I should be in bold red on your website that it will not fit in the winch. And why on earth would you not make it to fit on the winch, is the big question?
And it’s fits so now I can longer rides
I found out the hard way that the 4ah battery will not fit the capstan winch. I saw a lot of information that their 2 and 4Ah 48v batteries were interchangeable but it is apparently only with certain products. I really wish they had made it compatible with the winch...
With that said the capstan winch works like a dream!! I built and added a rope stop for hill safety as the winch will spool backwards slowly if load is on a hill. I also purchased a 3:1 ratio cable reel from another company that works perfectly with the 100ft of rope that comes with the winch. Has plenty of power to pull my equipment up the creek banks!
